Portrait session: Brothers Oskar & Erik

On the last day of 2012, I just wanted to share this photoshoot I had with these young teen brothers. Patient, calm and handsome! Following some instructions did not seem to be a problem for them at all. The beautiful Spinnet in Habo, created a good environment to take some indoor pictures. They surely came alive when we tried to take a picture with the beloved familydog.. Thankyou for a refreshing photoshoot, Oskar and Erik!

All American Family (with a Dutch flare)

The day after I arrived in Holland, I got to start off the photo sessions series with this American (with a Dutch flare) family. Feike, born and raised in Holland married to Laura, born and raised in America. Building up their lives in the USA, they were back in Holland for a family vacation. Two cultures coming together, with something beautiful coming out of it, their girls Audrey and Annelise. Wow, have I ever seen girls so full of life as they were? We made a compromise by taking them to a farm were they would feel more at ease. And boy did they. With the cutest cartoon voices they would inform their parents about what they saw, while running around from place to place. Two big brown puppy eyes would be staring at me as we constantly had to remind them that we were here for a photo session...

Looking at these pictures makes me almost forget that they were having a real jet lag that day. That´s why I think this family deserve a little extra credit for looking so unbelievably gorgeous!

Reunion with the Tijssen Family

A ¨sweet¨ reunion it was indeed.. Last summer I photographed this lovely family when they visited Sweden and now I got to do it all over again but then in their own environment. I can´t explain how happy it makes a photographer to see people coming back to you. A satisfied family makes me more content than anything I earn with what I do!
Anyway, the twins had gotten so big! Thomas and Nathan have grown to little boys that walk around.. uh let me rephrase that..walk away! They wanted to look everywhere around them and there was no time in their busy exploring schedule for a photo session. I tried to hold my laugh as mom and dad we´re trying to get their sons with often resentment to the wanted location. There was something way more fun over there or there or..
What I love about these pictures is that Thomas and Nathan are not fake. The moments when they were playing hide and seek, enjoying their parents love or just enjoying running as fast as they could turned out to be more alive then I could have wished for.
Edo and Tirsa, you seem like you are doing so great as parents! On top of that you got the new promotion, the new house and now.. the new family member. Can you imagine another one as cute as Thomas and Nathan?

 Tirsa you are so beautiful! I have never seen such sparkling blue eyes..

 Is there something more precious then the love between father and son?

Thank you! For a great new experience in my life. For taking me in your home the whole weekend. I know we made a deal.. and that I was the photographer.. But you made me feel at home with your generosity and kindness! I loved to step into your family for a few days and observe the happiness of being reunited. You impressed me with the amount of love and effort you put into your family, how you created an environment for valuable family moments. Sjaak and Riet, you are wonderful people and it was a privilege to photograph your family.

Sweet goodbye

I am back home! You probably didn´t even know I was gone and where to. I flew over to Holland for some photo sessions. Last friday I packed my bags on my way to Ede, where I photographed some lovely families. What an exciting experience it was and I will never forget it.. I will show more in these upcoming weeks/days.

 Monday morning I went back and I had just a few minutes left to shoot these three cousins in the most beautiful dresses I have ever seen for kids.. Sewed by their own grandma!

Liljengren Sisters

I haven´t had the chance to show you these pictures yet! This is a shoot that I made in late august last year. So even though they are not ¨new¨ they are still new in a way. I got the privilege to photograph these three wonderful sisters as a surprise for their mother. Although they looked so different from each other at first sight (black,brown and blond!), still they were the same type of girls. Oh so sweeeet, a bit shy, and my goodness stunning eyes.. I can certainly say that this was an great shoot in my opinion. First of all ,it´s not a punishment to photograph 3 beautiful young women, and secondly what an amazing light at a amazing location! Thank you girls, for being so open and being yourself!

Glad midsommar!

Today it is Midsommar in the land of Sweden. A Summer celebration which I have fallen in love with. Girls in white dresses with flowers in their hair. And everybody is dancing (which Swedish people don´t do that often!).. To be honest I still don´t know exactly what it is about, but it sure gives me summer feelings! I took some pictures of Signe, and I know I uploaded WAY TO MANY again. I can never choose when I photograph her!

So.. with these photos I am wishing you a wonderful Midsummer!
